Definition
Percentage of married or in union women aged 15 to 24 with total demand for family planning that is satisfied by contraceptive methods.

Method of Calculation
The numerator is the number of married or in union women aged 15 to 24 years who are currently using, or whose partner is currently using, at least one contraceptive method. The denominator is the total demand for family planning (the sum of the number of married or in union women aged 15 to 24 years using any contraceptive method and the number of married or in union women aged 15 to 24 years with unmet need for family planning). The quotient is then multiplied by 100 to arrive at the percentage of married or in union women (aged 15 to 24 years years) who have their need for family planning satisfied with contraceptive methods.
